🔥 News: Twitter Introduces New Official Handle @X

Exciting news - or maybe not very exciting news - from Twitter reveals a switch from the iconic @Twitter handle to @X as part of the ongoing rebranding. As a result of this new development, the original @Twitter handle is now inactive, and its bio reads, “This account is no longer active. Follow @x for updates.”

Clarifying the previously reported news that Twitter might not have reached out to the original owner of the @X handle — Gene X Hwang of corporate photography and videography studio Orange Photography, he tweeted saying, “All well that ends well” from his new handle @x1234567998765.

As of now, Twitter’s own handles, such as @TwitterSupport, @TwitterDev, and @TwitterAPI, are now inactive and have been replaced with @Support, @Xdevelopers, and @API, with the new X logo as the profile picture. However, regional handles like Twitter Japan and Twitter India are yet to be renamed.

Additionally, the company’s subscription service Twitter Blue is now @XBlue on the site, though the About page of the paid plan still has Twitter Blue branding. It is also worth mentioning that Twitter also changed its iconic blue bird logo to the new ‘X” logo, and just yesterday, it updated the new logo by adding bolder lines. However, Elon Musk has expressed dissatisfaction with the new update and has revealed that the logo will evolve over time.
